Saturday and Sunday October 10 & 11, 11:00am - 6:00pm

540 Alabama Street (at Mariposa), San Francisco

"Zouave" (Zoo-ahve) was the title given to certain infantry regiments in the French army serving primarily in French North Africa, 1831 to 1962. My pictures are mainly--loosely--inspired by the story of a battle during the Crimean War.

The Zouave wore baggy red pants. Van Gogh painted a Zouave. Which is all very nice but I may have bitten off more cultural/historical reference than I can chew. Help me chew it by coming to the show.
